Yes it will be free, both PPG games will stay free here on itch.io. The only downside is there's no MAC or android version, nor a STEAM version (I've been trying to figure out how to upload on steam for years!) Seeing people enjoy my game and make fanart, and head canons has been amazing, and I'm so very thankful!
just played this game!! its a banger! Played for Ashton, when i saw him in a video, there was only the first date and i assumed it was just one of those dating games with no real connection with each character not continuity and just one of those games where you just skip date after date, have a little lore and move on, but once i realized Ash freaked out when i was about to leave, i was a bit surprised until i saw the whole thing, i documented this WHOLE game, or atleast a big part of it, to my boyfriend, still nervous to do the other guys as i am very loyal to my Ashy ash ash baby, might, might not, might watch a video, idk, but i can't find the survey in the WWW folder! anyone can help with that??

The "Baihr_survey" should have popped up from the first Picture Perfect Boyfriend game, it's a simple .txt file that's the last "part" of Ashton's consciousnesses. HOWEVER if you can't find it or don't want to replay the whole first game over, you can create a simple .txt file and name it "Baihr_survey" (i don't think caps matter but the underscore is there) and plop that into the www folder of PPB Reboot, just pretend it's from Ash, hehe. And Red eyed Ashton's true ending would need to be gotten as well♫
I have already played the original game and had enjoyed it immensely but this is on another level. I got caught up in the story and the whole time I was like, "Where's Ashton? Who the fluff is this guy?!", lol.
I appreciated the lore behind the main plot and the history of the characters, how they are connected. Although I love all the characters Ashton has a special place in my heart. I feel the same way about him as you do about John Doe, basically: he's disturbingly sweet. xD

I’ve finally played the full game (got it off of your Patreon hehe) I’m gonna be very vague just for the sake of spoilers. I started crying at the end. This game has helped me through rough times, and gave me things to look forward to. It’s been a solid what, 3 years now? I’ve been following this games development since day one! First game and all. So in the end, of course I’m gonna be at least a littleeee bit emotional. Thank you for creating these silly characters I love so much, especially ash :) (and Ashino, he deserves love too.) looking forward for the full game to come out on here too!

just finished the game and OMG!!! it was so interesting??? i was so invested in the lore and stories. Like how vincent and john had their own interesting story while kadsey is having an existantial crisis. i actually dont dislike ashino like how i did from the start. and the 4th wall breaks were so interesting?! i hope theres not a single bits and pieces left for me to dig through ^^
i love the backgrounds too, like how it made the characters stand out more. It also reminded me of John Doe! with its abstract bg. I also think the sizes of the characters should match since they were cropped differently and our boy ash looked so big compared to the others. that all, just me yapping...
Cant wait for the finished ver and see the pictures, rly excited!! Great work <3 its criminally underrated. the story and mechanics r super well for a vn dating sim lol
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I loved giving the boys actual lives and traumas of their own, even Ashino developed more AS I made the game, I actually didn't intend for him to be likable at all LOL, and games breaking the 4th wall is one of my favorite tropes♥
I have worried about the sizes of the sprites, when I made the first PPB it was only Ash who is rather tall, but in adding John who is supposed to be taller and Vincent who is the shortest, I didn't think how they would look all on screen. Though I'd have to do a ton of redrawing/resizing which would really burn me out so it will be swept under the rug. At least it's a lesson learned if I make another RPG Maker VN.
I often suggest PPB in tik toks about Yandere VNs so who knows, maybe Ashton will be in those edits with Sol, and Ren, and Mychael some day♫
So, I played this game immediately after playing the first picture perfect boyfriend. (Though I waited to write a review until I finished playing through all of the game as it allows me to.) I very much enjoyed this demo, I love how well written everyone is, especially John and Ashino, though Ashino irritates me sometimes; I still love his character. But honestly, I was immediately smitten when I saw Vincent. I love his character the most; he’s just so adorable and my favorite character in this game, tbh. Man, his route got me emotional, especially the part when he reunites with his (Spoiler). Anyways, I can’t wait to see this game completed soon

It's funny, I feel happy when people say they dislike or are irritated by Ashino, it's what i intended but he's actually become kind of popular LOL! and Vincent was one of my favorite routes to write (teared up while writing it and while playtesting it!)
